RMPA National Organization -- We just received a donation of 300 acres of land, It is off Hwy 52 at Iaeger, WV. and is on Lick Branch. There is a lot of level land on the place. The deed has been recorded and the Secretary has it. The land was given to us by Litwar Coal Processing. Mack Mullins Chapter -- information for those local to Fayetteville, NC Only: Meets at the John W. Fuller Recreation Center located on old Bunce Road, in the 71st district, between Bunce and School Road. The Fuller Center is a Beautiful, well-kept, handicapped available facility. The room set aside for our meeting was set up like a banquet, complete with white linen napkins and table cloths. The caterers were professional and friendly. The food which included hot biscuits, butter and jelly, scrambled eggs, SOS, bacon and sausage, hash brown potatoes, grit, and coffee and juice was delicious and there was plenty of it. It was self serve and all you could eat. The meeting was private with no interruptions. Since this is an ideal place to hold our meetings it was agreed that this will be the place that we will use for the foreseeable future. Our president made the arrangements and paid for everything out of his pocket (we did take up a collection to help him with expensives). In the future it will cost about $10.00 dollars per person. This is for the rental of the space, the food, and gratuity. And it is well worth it. Just a reminder that the monthly meeting/breakfast of Chapter 1, RMPA, is to be announced. We normally meet the 1st Saturday of each month. Time: Between 0800 & 0830, Place Fuller Rec Center on Old Bunce Road.
Georgia Chapter -- information for those local to Augusta, GA Only: No information to report.

MG Timmerberg's death resulted from serious complications encountered in a fall early last week in his home in Overland Park, Kansas. The fall may have been linked with a presumed stroke at the same time. The following information was taken form the obituary published in the Kansas City Star on February 22, 2008:
Major General Paul M. Timmerberg (U.S.A. Ret.) passed away in Overland Park, Kan., on February 20, 2008, at the age of 80. Born August 17, 1927, in Montgomery City, Mo., he was the son of Paul E. and Martha M. Timmerberg. He lived his formative years in Montgomery City and earned a reputation as both an athlete and a scholar. He later completed his education by earning a bachelor's degree with post-graduate study at the University of Maryland. Paul spent most of his professional life in the U.S. Military. From 1945-1947 he was in the U.S. Merchant Marine, where he sailed in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. From 1948-1983 he served as an Officer in the U.S. Army. Throughout his 35-year career he rose to the rank of Major General and retired in 1983 as the senior officer in the Army's Military Police Corps. During Paul's service in the Army he received the following decorations: Distinguished Service Medal (2), Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (4), Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (7) with one Valor Device, Army Commendation Medal (5), and 15 other service medals with six battle stars. After retirement from active duty, he was inducted into both the OCS and the Military Police Corp Hall of Fame. Apart from his military career, Paul was also active as a deacon and elder of his church, an adult leader of the Boy Scouts of America, and a long time volunteer at Menorah Medical Center. He took great interest in the lives of his children and grandchildren, providing consistent support, encouragement and unconditional love. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Edward, who was killed in action in the Korean War. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of 59 years; son Doug and his wife Michele; daughter Debbie Blanton and her husband Wes; son John and his wife Kelly; son Mark and his wife Jean; sister Nancy Scott; 12 grandchildren, Carla, Jessica, Erica, Matthew, Brooke, Ben, Brett, Amanda, Trevor, Kelsey, Brady and Jack; four great granddaughters, and two aunts, Ruby Dryden See and Betty Jo Rosenberg.
